NYSAFLT Executive
Director
Mr. Carlino studied in France for two years, received his B.A. from SUNY Buffalo in French and Teacher Education, and took his M.Ed., also from SUNY Buffalo, in TESOL. Mr. Carlino has been a member of NYSAFLT since 1988. He began volunteering his time on the Annual Meeting Planning Committee in 1996. He has served on the Technology Committee, the Membership Committee, and most recently was Treasurer of NYSAFLT for two terms - 2000 - 2003. Mr. Carlino was elected to the position of Second Vice-President for 2004, but resigned to accept the position of Interim Executive Director. He is also active in the Western New York Chapter of AATG. You may recognize Mr. Carlino from Regents Review Live, broadcast yearly in May, as he has hosted the French show from 2001 - 2003, and the German show from 2004 - 2005. Mr. Carlino is also advisor to the Kenmore West German Club, the Kenmore West Gay-Straight Alliance and the Kenmore West Ski Club. |
John Carlino has taught German
at Kenmore West High School since 1995. Prior to that, Mr. Carlino taught
French for 6 years.
